V8.4.59 Beta

  • BBX Lua script files are now pre-compiled and encrypted (to *.xLua) files before being installed as part of a FlashScan/AutoCal V3 custom menu. See \Documents\EFILive\V8\User Defined Menus\SampleCustomMenu.txt for more info.
  • Added unlocking option to allow FlashScan to generate the correct unlock key, to unlock controllers that were locked using the "Lock (using FlashScan generated key)" option.
  • Fixed file corruption when encrypted files were added to *.bbx quick setup files and the Remote AutoCal link was changed/updated.
  • Added ECM/TCM hardware number to QR-code in [F4: OBD].
  • Cummins Timing Calculator now checks the target calibration and will warn the user when the timing calculator may not be 100% accurate due to mismatched axis units.
  • Cummins Timing Calculator now attempts to compensate for mismatched axis units.
  • Fixed A40 flash failure if/when the A40 TCM reports an operating system number of 00000000.
  • When copying *.ctz tune files to FlashScan or AutoCal, a warning message is displayed if the tune file's check sums are incorrect.
  • Added right-click-copy option for VIN/OS data displayed at the bottom of the main Scan Tool window in the status bar.

V3.00.130

  • Fixed black box flashing of encrypted tune files which failed to decrypt the tune file correctly, resulting in failed flashes.

V3.00.129

  • Changed the parameter signature of Lua BBX script function bb.SeedKey().

V3.00.128

  • Changed the way Lua scripts are called from custom menus. See \Documents\EFILive\V8\User Defined Menus\SampleCustomMenu.txt for more info.

Limitations

  • Limitation #1: When logging DMA PIDs (i.e., PIDs whose names end with \"_M\" or \"_DMA\"), if the ignition is switched off for an extended period while data logging but data logging is not terminated, then when the ignition is switched on again the data log automatically continues. However, the DMA PIDs may no longer return valid data.
  • Workaround: EFILive recommends stopping the data log and restarting the data log when switching off the ignition for extended periods

  • Limitation #2: When opening CMF (CM2450B) Cummins 2022 tune files, the EFILive software will complain with the following message:

That is expected and the message may be ignored. We have only added the option to open CMF 2022 stock files so that EFILive can flash stock files. EFILive cannot be used to update the check sums of modified                                     files. Modified files cannot be flashed. You do not need to email the file to EFILive. Ignore the message if you are opening and flashing a 100% stock tune file. Do not attempt to flash a modified file, it will fail at the                                 end of the flash and the vehicle will be left in a no-start condition until a stock file is flashed in.

  • Workaround: None.
